Program Features

Kids Adventures has been at Piney Branch since 2012, serving over 500 families during that time. The Piney Branch program opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Piney Branch is open until 6:30 PM on all early release days and open all day on professional days. Kids Adventures follows MCPS Administration Offices for snow days and emergency closures.

The program offers sports, arts, games, and weekly clubs. Once a week, children are able to swim at the Piney Branch pool, located within the school. Snack is served in the morning and afternoon, as well as homework and reading time Monday through Thursday.

In addition to our clubs curriculum, Piney Branch also features numerous specialists that visit once a week or once a month in a regular rotation. Almost all of our specialists are included in the tuition price and are optional for students. some specialists that have been featured over the years include:

  • Yoga
  • Zumba
  • Chess
  • Basketball clinics
  • Art
  • Flag football (two time KA tournament champions!)
  • Cheerleading
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Woodworking
  • Robotics and coding (coming 2018!)

Piney Branch offers several optional field trips throughout the year, five kids night out (parent date nights) and one overnight trip. All field trips are reasonably priced and Kids Adventures works with all families to make accommodations.
