Program Features

Along with our neighbors, Weller Rd, Wheaton Woods is our brand new program that just opened this year. The Wheaton Woods program opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Wheaton Woods is open until 6:30 PM on all early release days and open all day on professional days. Kids Adventures follows MCPS Administration Offices for snow days and emergency closures.

The program offers sports, arts, games, and weekly clubs. Snack is served in the morning and afternoon, as well as homework and reading time Monday through Thursday.

In addition to our clubs curriculum, Wheaton Woods also features numerous specialists that visit once a month in a regular rotation. We are currently working to get more specialists out to the center but so far this year we have featured:

  • Yoga

  • Chess

  • Basketball clinics

  • Art

  • Flag football

Wheaton Woods offers several optional field trips throughout the year, five kids night out (parent date nights) and one overnight trip. All field trips are reasonably priced and Kids Adventures works with all families to make accommodations.
